Dr. Sascha Samadi is a Senior Researcher at Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy where he has been working in the division ‘Future Energy and Industry Systems’ since 2008. He works on and coordinates research projects with a focus on the analysis of national and European energy scenarios and the evaluation of strategies for deep greenhouse gas emission reductions in heavy industry. In 2018 he completed his PhD thesis titled ‘The social costs of electricity supply: types of costs, their dynamics over time and how energy models take these costs into account‘.
