Nigmeh Kadan Abu Toameh is currently a Ph.D. student at the Graduate Program in Science, Technology and Society at Bar-Ilan University. Her thesis topic is: The Reception of Darwinian Evolution in Muslim Society: Muslim High School Students in Israel as a Case Study. Nigmeh holds an M.A. in biological thought- philosophy and history of biology from The Open University and a B.A. in the natural sciences from The Open University. She is a research assistant at the Dialogue in Science and Religious Education: Evolution Instruction in a Diverse Democratic Society using Pedagogy of Difference project, led by Prof. Hanan Alexander (Haifa University) and Prof. Tali Tal (Technion). Nigmeh is one of the developers of the website https://educatepass.com, which educates elementary school pupils in Arab society about environmental science.
