Fabian Zimmer

Fabian Zimmer was a visiting Fellow at IPPI in September 2017. His research focused on ways to promote concepts of sustainable urban mobility. Fabian explored transportation policies in Tel Aviv and different European cities, all of which have to deal with comparable challenges such as congestion, air pollution and environmental degradation mainly due to motorized individual transportation. Fabian’s research analyzed challenges and opportunities of different sustainable modes of transportation as well as best practices that have already been adopted around the world.

Fabian Zimmer holds an MA in Environmental Policy and Planning from the Freie Universität Berlin and the Technische Universität Berlin. He is currently working as an Expert at the Innovation Centre for Mobility and Societal Change in Berlin. His main research interests include renewable energy policies and sustainable mobility.
