David Dunetz
Dr. David Dunetz was a Visiting Fellow at IPPI in 2019 to expand on his research related to environmental sustainability at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in Potsdam, Germany. He is a senior staff member at the Heschel Center for Sustainability and former CEO.
David is the founder of the Green Schools Network, which he ran for nearly ten years. In this flagship program, he spearheaded a movement for sustainability and environmental education in schools across Israel.
In recent years, David has focused primarily on climate change education and transformative participatory platforms for policy change. Heschel’s Climate Program, which he coordinates, has grown to be a leading force in the environmental sector in Israel fostering collaborations, Arab-Jewish cooperation and an SDG National Coalition to bolster civil society.
His doctoral research focused on critical transformative sustainability education.
