Christine Krüger is a researcher at Wuppertal Institute. She is an electrical engineer and works in the field of energy system analyses. A main focus of her work is the question, how high shares of renewable energy can be integrated into the energy system and how the challenges coming along with that can be met. Thematically, she deals with electricity grids and storage, with sector coupling, power-to-X and other measures to bring energy demand and generation into balance. She therefore uses, among other methods, energy system modelling and optimisation.
