PhD Researcher in Data Protection Law at Tel Aviv University
Luiza Jarovsky graduated in Law from the University of São Paulo, completed her LL.M. at Tel Aviv University and is currently doing her Ph.D. at Tel Aviv University, researching data protection law. In 2016, she received a Marie-Curie Fellowship (joining the EU project Privacy&Us); in 2020, she was awarded the “President’s Scholarship for Excellence in Science and Innovation” by the President of Israel and, in 2021, she received the Westin Scholar Award from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Before starting her Ph.D., for six years she worked as a lawyer, dealing mainly with startup companies. She is the author of three fiction books and organized a legal book for entrepreneurs (in Portuguese). In 2018, her legal article was published in the European Data Protection Law Review. She speaks Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Hebrew.
